MSB programs boast an outstanding network of faculty, staff and students, who all come together in a multi-cultural setting that is conducive to learning, growth and development with an intellectual vitality comparable to the finest North American and European higher education institutions.
SMU was fortunate to have the support of its founding members that count among them corporations, business leaders, professionals and scholars. To ensure the university’s academic independence, no single founding member has been given a binding vote.
The initial SMU team instituted the Executive MBA program which was overseen by Dr. Mahmoud Triki.
Joining Dr. Triki’s efforts was an initial team that included Dr. Taoufik Jelassi, Professor of Management Technology and Information Systems and Dean of the International MBA at the Ecole Nationales des Ponts et Chaussée de Paris and Nabil Triki, then Strategy Consultant at the Boston Consulting Group in Paris.
As the program gained momentum, the team expanded to include Neila Gharsallah, Stanford alumnae holding an MS in Management; IT engineers Haythem Abdelkafi and Nadhir Douma and MBA holder from George Washington University, Hala Ammar who later became the Director of Admissions.
